Funding of up to £500 is available for
computer/business/diversification training through the Land Management Contract.
However, training has to be administered by
training companies approved by Lantra and any course has to be approved
also. Airhouse Studios has been approved by
Lantra.

could also be available.
Read below what one farmer has to say about training
at Airhouse Studios
“At the start of the course I had no practical ability
in any aspect of computer use. Now I can use a computer to write
business letters and invoices, to prepare, send and receive emails and
to develop tables and spreadsheets for farm budget, account and VAT
records. This has greatly reduced my dependency on others. I now also
have a beginners knowledge of how to access information and materials
using the internet.
The course was
constructed to provide a basic, practical introduction to computer use
to meet farm correspondence needs, record keeping, planning, email and
internet use. The training was “hands on” from the outset with
continuous interaction with the instructor. It was delivered by 5 six
hour whole day sessions at two week intervals, with regular breaks for
relaxation. It was very effective and has left me with considerable
confidence in these areas, and also awareness of other possibilities
further training can offer.”
